Introduction and Information:
  • Bachelor course in Civil Engineering for Diploma Holders (B.E. Civil (DH)) is designed to train the competent graduates in Civil Engineering who join the course after the completion of Diploma/ Certificate in Civil Engineering or Architecture or NEB-Technical and Vocational Civil Engineering Stream. Upon the successful completion of the courses B.E. Civil for Diploma Holders, the students are awarded Bachelor of Engineering degree in Civil Engineering by Pokhara University. This course has been successfully conducted by nec from 2000 AD. The program is currently conducted in Prayag Pokhari, Lalitpur.
Salient features of nec BDH Program/ BE Civil For Diploma Holders:
  • Program: Bachelor in Civil Engineering
  • Total number of Seat: 48 (Forty Eight)
  • Minimum Qualification of Applicants: Diploma/ Certificate in Civil Engineering or Architecture or NEB-Technical and Vocational Civil Engineering Stream. (The students studying Final Semester in Diploma Level and the results waiting applicants can also apply for the entrance Examination.)
  • Location: nec City Office, Prayag Pokhari, Lalitpur
  • Class conduction Time: From 5:30 PM to 8:45 PM (Magh 16 to Kartik 15)
    From 4:30 PM to 8:00 PM (Kartik 16 to Magh 15)
  • Duration of Course: 4.5 Years (All total Nine Semesters)
  • * 20% seats are reserved for the female candidates.
  • * The class conduction time is in the evening for the working days and whole days in the weekends, so it is favorable to the job holder Sub Engineers working in the government and non government organizations.

Entrance Examination’s Subject Weightage, Work Experience Weightage and rules:
  • Total Marks: 250 Marks [200 (Entrance Examination, Multiple Choice Questions) + 50 (Work Experience)]
  • The examinees should pass the entrance examination separately to add work experience. The entrance exam score is only taken into considerations for scholarship on the basic of score.
  • Work experience score is only applicable to publish the overall merit list for admission.
